3. Roundtable Session by CSC: "The benefits of Cloud Computing and the demands of Cybersecurity coming together."
When you have to decide over your business processes, your data and its locations, your infrastructure, your workplaces et cetera, you decide over significant and critical elements of your business. You may be well informed about the enormous benefits of Cloud Computing and aware of the importance of Cybersecurity. New and challenging business models emerge all around us, threatening well established organizations like never before and at the same pace giving possibilities for growth to the widest array of organizations, again like never before. IT presents an even bigger challenge these days as interconnectivity increases between organizations, partners, suppliers and customers, mobile computing and 'bring your own device' are revolutionizing the workplace; meanwhile complexity in the digital world continues to grow, while the Cloud may still feel ‘somewhat cloudy' to some. Challenging to say the least. Therefore let's clear the sky and talk with CSC VP Cloud Computing and Software Services Siki Giunta and CSC EMEA Director Cybersecurity Nick Hopkinson on the benefits of Cloud Computing combined with the demands of Cybersecurity, together.
Speakers: Siki Giunta, VP Cloud Computing and Software Services CSC & Nick Hopkinson, CSC EMEA Director Cybersecurity

4. Roundtable Session by KPN: "To BYOD or not to BYOD; that's not a question anymore!"
BYOD is there (just look around you). BYOD is, however, not yet included in ICT strategy. BYOD today's practice is Choose your own from a catalogue.
Employees are more and more behaving like business consumers. They want a new way of working and life: to be able to work where and when they wish, with the devices they need. This is an unstoppable trend and companies should prepare themselves for it. But a culture change like this is extremely complex and requires a lot of topics to think about. What are the number 10 items you should consider and how do you structure a project like this?
This Round Table gives you food for thought for a structured approach on BYOD within your own organization: to help you with setting an ICT strategy and implementation that gives the support your users want.
Speaker: Arnold Hoogerwerf, Strategist New Way of Working and future trends KPN Corporate Market
Host: Paul Slot, Director ICT KPN Corporate Market
5. Roundtable Session by KPMG: "Is intuition given the place it deserves among CIOs? What is the best way to use the force of intuition?"
Business leaders have elevated rationality to a dominant position in the decision-making process. As a result, only decisions that can be qualified as being rational appear to be accepted in the current climate. Within such a culture, decision making based on intuition can be challenging which could possibly put pressure on the quality of decisions. If this is the case, then it is a troublesome development. Now is therefore the time to test how much the CIO uses his or her intuition and to explore the force of intuition.
Speaker & Host: Prof. dr. Edo Roos Lindgreen RE, Partner KPMG
6. Roundtable Session by Pegasystems: "The CIO - compliance's Secret Weapon or Achilles heel?"
Together with Mike Lotzof, who most recently personally led a major global initiative around IT and compliance as Global Head of ING Group Compliance Technique and former CEO of the Australasian Compliance Institute, we are going to discuss the two primary goals of IT systems; make doing business easier and improve the customer experience. Properly designed IT systems can play a critical role in reducing the cost and residual exposure of compliance and operational risks. Unfortunately, too often compliance and operational risk systems are bolted on to "business systems" and are then rightly seen as additional, "low priority" burdens. This is unnecessary and wasteful because:
1. The data sets needed for compliance and operational risk management are subsets of those needed for doing business.
2. The timing of the acquisition of client and transaction data is synchronous with managing the compliance and operational risks.
3. If the process is managed "in line" in real time, then smart systems can prevent and/or flag "unusual" transactions or transaction patterns.
The challenge for CIOs is to get compliance, operational risk and business to see the big picture and then help them build the integrated solutions. The challenge has big rewards in reduced cost, cleaner systems architecture and for business and risk functions more sustainable solutions that are easier and more efficient to use. During the round table we will examine two areas: anti-money laundering and miss-selling.
Speaker: Mike Lotzof, World-renowned Financial Crime, Risk Management and Compliance expert
Host: Robbert te Riele, Senior Sales Consultant Pegasystems
7. Roundtable Session by Verizon Business: "Consumerization drives Enterprise IT Transformation and Innovation."
The development of the cloud is an evolution towards the service delivery platform for IT and in that sense a very important IT accelerator, but the biggest change comes from the consumerization of IT. Twenty years ago the best technology was used by IT departments within companies. Today the best technology is with the consumer. This logically affects the IT organization. The company also wants such a platform to develop their brand and get closer to consumers in addition to the usual 'drivers' as cost and flexibility. 1. Consumerization today leads to innovation. It is the driver behind the cloud strategy to find new ways with customers and own employees to communicate. 2. The IT department should change and become the 'innovator' for the company by using new technologies as quickly as possible. 3. Flexibility is essential to business support. CIOs should take this into account when setting down their organization. 4. Companies are trying to distinguish themselves. This is only possible if the cloud gets the attention it deserves. 5. To differentiate in the market IT need to embrace new technologies such as "pay as you use 'and the ability to share information on any device.
Speaker: Kerry Bailey, Senior VP Global Enterprise, Verizon Business
Host: Fedor Hoevenaars, Area VP Verizon Business
8. Roundtable Session SAS: "Turning Big Data into Value."
The value of big data lies in the insights which you extract from it. Big data is not only about large and growing volumes of data, but it is also about the greater speed, variety and complexity. Organizations regarding big data as an opportunity, rather than only a challenge, by searching combinations in data and creating innovative insights have a better competitive edge. New to organizations is information generated coming from outside the company, from customers and users of products and services in, for example, social media. This information category is already taking up the largest chunk of all existing information and is constantly growing. Few organizations know how to deal with this. The biggest part of the big data challenge is not dealing with, but converting it to opportunities for growth and improvement. For example, how can organizations identify or even predict particular customer behavior by combining all the existing data of a customer, so that a decision can be taken directly to better serve him or her?
The discussion is will be about what role the CIO should play in this information process?
Speaker: Thornton May, Futurist, Executive Director & Dean of the IT Leadership Academy Florida
Host: Karel Kinders, Managing Director The Netherlands SAS Institute

28. Expert Session: "CIOs from the cloud."
It's easy to get caught up in the complexities surrounding your business applications and infrastructure resources. Data centers, network connectivity, servers and storage, cooling, and a team of experts to install, configure and run them are all important considerations, with each upgrade potentially impacting the whole system.
Cloud computing can change all this. It allows any IT resource to be consumed as a utility, from simple applications to a complete server infrastructure, and be delivered to you as on-demand services over a network. This allows you to enjoy advanced IT services without extensive capital investment, skilled staff and ongoing operational headaches. Your computing resources become elastic, scaling up and down to suit your needs, always with the latest upgrades, security and performance features. And you pay only for what you use. At least, that's what any Cloud operator promises nowadays... but is it really how things work out? Michiel Zandbergen, Manager Global Workplace Competence Centre at DSM, and Rene Berende, CIO at Canon, recently started the transition to Cloud services by partnering with Orange. Canon is migrating it's former Lotus Notes and Exchange platforms to Microsoft BPOS, while DSM is doing just the same - all internal mailboxes will be migrated to an online solution. Why did these multinationals make this choice? What was the complelling event? What pitfalls did they encounter? What are their challenges and opportunities in migrating to the cloud?

39. Roundtable Session by Verizon Business & RSA: "ENTERPRISE GOVERNANCE, RISK AND COMPLIANCE; A New Paradigm to Meet New Demands."
In our increasingly globalized business environment, economies and enterprises are steadily becoming interrelated. Yet many key functions and departments that deal with related information and business processes remain siloed. As competition escalates, as organizations become more dispersed, and as regulations increase in number and complexity, risk inevitably grows. So, too, does the demand-from markets, regulators and customers-for increased accountability. The answer is to bring governance, risk management and compliance together in an integrated program where policies, data and controls are strategically managed and visible throughout the enterprise. An enterprise governance, risk and compliance strategy creates consistency and transparency, enables collaboration, fosters operational efficiencies, and ensures the continuity and success of the business. RSA and Verizon Business will discuss this innovative and multifaceted approach to a new paradigm, where risk management and compliance issues are seen not as isolated concerns but as closely related strategic initiatives with a direct impact on business objectives. These concerns, therefore, require the attention and influence of governance, which ultimately is responsible for the growth and performance of the business.

In addition to a more theoretical framework they will focus on the lessons learned and give a demo. Highly recommended for anyone who struggles with the issue of diffuse scattered knowledge in an organization to merge in a pragmatic and, above all, useful way.
Speakers: Rein van Vugt, director ASR
Host: Willem Voogt, principal consultant Quint Wellington Redwood
